The department invited 5,000 candidates in a Canadian Experience Class (CEC)-only draw. Candidates require a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 510 to be considered.
Today’s draw was the ninth of an already busy month for Express Entry. In total, IRCC issued 25,125 ITAs throughout July. Draws this month have been alternating between program-specific draws, such as the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), and category-based selection draws. In category-based draws, most ITAs have gone to candidates with French language proficiency, totaling 5,000 ITAs over two draws. IRCC also issued 3,750 ITAs to healthcare candidates on July 5 and 1,800 to candidates in trade occupations on July 4.
Additionally, there have been a lot of ITAs awarded in program-specific draws. The IRCC invited 3,275 PNP applicants and 11,300 Canadian Experience Class candidates as of July 31. Many candidates for both programs are temporary residents who now live and work in Canada. After a full year without them, program-specific drawings will resume on May 30. This is in line with the IRCC's previously declared goal of holding more domestic draws. The department unveiled a new objective in March of this year: while fulfilling its objectives for permanent residents as stated in the Immigration Levels Plan, it also wanted to decrease and stabilize the number of temporary residents living in Canada.

Express Entry: What Is It?
The Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class utilize Express Entry as their application management system. These three economic immigration schemes are the most well-known in Canada. To assess applicants based on human capital variables including age, education, vocation, language proficiency, and job experience, they all utilize the Comprehensive Ranking System.
A candidate's total CRS score is determined by adding the scores for each factor. They are seen to have a higher chance of strengthening Canada's demographics and adding to its workforce based on these human capital aspects. The likelihood of receiving an ITA increases with the score.
The purpose of Express Entry is to expedite the processing of highly competent.
